How do I begin?

1. Make a list of friends and acquaintances that you would like to include as your Pretty Sisters. List EVERYONE that you would like to have in your new world of magical sisterhood. Invite friends, family members, neighbors, even acquaintances. Let your heart be open as you make your guest list. Listen to your intuition. As an inclusive sisterhood this is an opportunity to include others (and be included) in a different, new, and exciting way. Let the desire to embrace life be the common thread of those who attend. We recommend that your first party be no larger than 20 people.

   Do not eliminate anyone from the list because you think she would not want to join you. If you want a person with you – invite her and let her decide.

2. Choose the appropriate place for your party: a home, a local restaurant, a community center in your area, a local dinner theatre, a hotel, or a piano bar.
   
3. Order your PS Party Pack(s) and other party supplies no less than three weeks before the scheduled date. Each Party Pack includes:

   •  10 PS Crowns
   •  10 Dream Dust (sample size)
   •  10 Dream/Believe/Create Pens
   •  10 Pretty Sisters Pledge cards
   •  10 PS Tribute cards
   •  10 PS Dare to Dream cards
   •  10 PS Registration cards
   •  1 PS Party Instructions
   •  PS T-Shirts (optional)
   •  PS Bracelets (optional)

4. Invite your guests and prepare to have a grand time.
   
5. One week before the party, prepare PS tributes for each woman that will attend. You can write the tribute yourself, ask a spouse, parent, or close friend of your guest to do this for you, or you may use a sample tribute. 
   
6. At your first party, explain your interest in Pretty Sisters, the mission and purpose of the group, and encourage the guests to invite other women (girls) in the community who may be interested in future events.

Are there traditions I must follow at each party?

The PS Tributes and the Dare to Dream Cards are the only traditions that should be followed at your first PS event.

Other Party Suggestions

If you keep in mind the purpose of Pretty Sister events: to come together to lift, love, laugh, support each other, and embrace life, you will find that there are many party options.

Here are a few suggestions:

• Hold a pamper yourself/spa event where you can give one another manicures and pedicures, or schedule a group trip to the spa.
• Hire a stylist to come to your party and cut everyone's hair at a volume discount, or schedule your party at a fun salon.
• Attend a dance class together—learn to swing dance, salsa, tango, or anything that appeals to you.
• Plan a karaoke event or go to a piano bar and sing your heart out.
• Schedule a cooking class for your group, either at a restaurant or at your home. Or bake fun foods together.
• Invite an artist to teach your group how to paint, or do an art project together.
• Organize a PS Birthday Party or Baby Shower to honor a close friend or loved one
• Find a service project that you can do together, such as paint a room for a neighbor, gather supplies for a school, or collect and donate items to a facility in need.

The world is your oyster – the options are endless.

The litmus test is simple:

•  Is it uplifting?
•  Is it inclusive?
•  Is it supportive?
•  Is it FUN?
